The proceedings of the 6th International Conference on Borate Glasses, Crystals and Melts (Borate2008) are being published by the Society of Glass Technology in the European Journal of Glass Science and Technology. The scientific papers will be included in Part B (Physics and Chemistry of Glasses) and the applied and industrial papers will be included in Part A (Glass Technology). The papers from both parts will also be combined in a single volume for the conference participants, as in the case of the 3rd, 4th and 5th Borate Conferences. It is a condition of publication in the European Journal of Glass Science and Technology that all papers are refereed to the normal high standard of the journal.
